📚The Dead and the Dark by Courtney Gould

This book follows a little town called Snakebite in Oregon. Teens have been disappearing and turning up dead. The weather isn't normal and all the fingers seem to be pointing to Logan's Dad's. They are TV's most popular ghost hunters who just returned to Snakebite. Logan has never been to Snakebite before but she has been dragged along for the trip.

Ashley Barton’s boyfriend was the first teen to go missing, and she’s felt his presence ever since the Ortiz-Woodleys have come to town. his ghost is following her and the only person Ashley can trust is the mysterious Logan

When Ashley and Logan team up to figure out who—or what—is haunting Snakebite, their investigation reveals truths about the town, their families, and themselves that neither of them is ready for.

Logan starts to get the feeling that there are more secrets buried here than her Dad's originally let on.

My review:

This is a very fast paste story with LOTS of details and some backstories. It was a good book and I enjoyed all the mysteries and thrillers of it. I like that the story wasn't predictable and the mystery was kept till the end.

I found the story fell kinda flat at some points but picked up pretty quick. It just keeps you on the edge of your seat. Wanting more and needing to know what happens next. The ending was pretty cool and shocking but it was a good ending. I also like the small-town feel to it, it's perfect for this kind of story. It certainly has that creepy feel to it.

This is my first time reading a book from the author and I really enjoyed it.

*Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to read this book.
