This book is about Marigold who recently moved with her newly blended family to a small town for a fresh start. Her mom has accepted a new job with the Sterling Foundation that comes with a free house, one that Mari now has to share with her bratty ten-year-old stepsister, Piper and her brother Sammy.
Their renovated picture-perfect home is sitting between run-down houses and neighbours are very worried about the family's arrival. That’s only half the problem: household items vanish, doors open on their own, lights turn off, shadows walk past rooms, voices can be heard in the walls, and there’s a foul smell seeping through the vents only Mari seems to notice. Worse: Piper keeps talking about a friend who wants Mari gone.

As the house closes in, Mari learns that the danger isn’t limited to Maple Street. Cedarville has its secrets, too. And secrets always find their way through the cracks.
💭My review:🐻
I was really excited to read this book. Everyone was talking about it. So I gave it a chance and I'm totally not regretting it. I couldn't put this book down. This book was so intense, I absolutely loved everything about it!. It had everything I enjoy in a book mystery, creepy, action, drama, haunted house. There were so many details and a little back story. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and creeped out. Oh, and you can't forget that cover it's absolutely beautiful!! I really enjoyed the story and Tiffany's writing. I will be looking for more of her books.
Thank you to @netgalley and @hccfrenzy@harpercollinsca for giving me the chance to read and review this book.
